Hello all,
I thought that adding a menu for the timezone selection might be an idea.
As I wrote to Dan, it uses tzselect(1M) instead of entering the $TZ
manually.
It's only a little modification of the rpool-install.sh file, as seeing in
my pull request:
Sure :-)
But now I am finished for today, so If you later have time to build a new
iso, I will test it tomorrow.

Hello,
thanks for the new iso and your work.
I tested it in Vmware (one virtual disk) without problems.
Later that day I will try it in our Oracle VM system (Xen).
The only thing I am missing is the selection of the keyboard layout, can
this be implemented?

Hi Dan,
thanks for the updated media.
The installed system now has the correct keyboard (german in my case).
But the install environment is still english (when i go to the shell [Point
3]).
When i invoke a "loadkeys" after I enter the shell, the correct layout is
loaded.

Hi,
yes, I can exit the maintenance shell or bypass it during ctrl+d to
start the installer menu.
Today it worked once without "requesting maintenance state", after that
it appeared everytime.

Do you used a real DVD or an ISO?
For the future you could use the iso mount feature of HP ILOs so you save time
to burn the iso and save blank cd/dvd.
I see no reason to use a remote console just to insert a physical disk when
needed ;-)

Hi,
what happens when you just try to update entire?
pkg update -nv entire
or
pkg install -nv entire

idmap add winname:"*@" unixuser:"*"
idmap add wingroup:"*@ " unixgroup:"*"
svcadm restart idmap
All new created files has now the uid and gid from the IDMU

What is your /etc/nsswitch.conf saying?
Mine has nearly everywhere "files ldap", except hosts and ipnodes.

Hi Stephan,
for test purposes I setup a kernel smb vm a few months ago.
I can acquire a tgt via "kinit" on a mac and browse successfully via "Go ->
Connect to server -> smb:///share"
The only downside against a samba4: I cannot block (or "veto" in samba syntax)
