Just finished installing 1.4.0.4 and trying to setup the proximity
stuff, getting these errors below. It is also taking A LONG TIME
(5+ minutes, 1.4.0.2 finished in 15 seconds).

Ubuntu Intrepid and there's a known problem in perl 5.10 on Intrepid
for which I opened a bug and submitted a patch:
