Did you look at your java console window within Netscape to see if it
was giving you any warnings or errors? I still do not see any of the
problems you are having with Netscape on Windows or RH Linux 7.1.
Once in a while, I do get Netscape to freeze launching the JVM within
Netscape
Okay, that explains a lot more. It appears that your java server is
not able to use DXLink to start up a DX Executive. Do you have the dx
script in the path of the user that is starting up the java server?
That is where I would start looking.

Update fixing javadx on MacOS X. I actually got it working pretty well.
This is a problem with autoconf 2.53. I'd suggest downgrading to 2.52
or see if you can get help from the autoconf group. If you do a make
check in autoconf, you're going to see that your not passing their
tests--how do I know, I've already gone through all this with
autoconf 2.53 on cygwin
Just to let you know, I'm seeing some of the problems you are but not
all. For example, Rotate works fine for me. I will try and look into
this more in the next week to see if I can help out.

Acutally, I'm building it on NTFS and the symlinks get created
correctly, but then I move them around a bit for the InstallShield
installation. Of course they don't get updated for the correct
directory and I'm not going to recreate the 100s of symlinks by hand
within Installshield.

Actually, there aren't any examples of this available because I don't
think anybody has done it. I think it would be possible to do with
JNI, but can JNI code be loaded dynamically? I think their would have
to be a large amount of wrapper code written just to deal with
passing variables, etc.

I just found a real show stopper in the latest CVS. I just wanted to
make sure that everyone is doing some testing on this before we

I can't seem to get ImageMagick to write any images out correctly (at
least with the Save Image.. dialog). I'm going to work on this to
