To get the libtool branch,
1) cvs checkout dx
2) cvs update -r libtool dx

I compiled from source
autoconf-2.57
automake-1.7.1
(using the bash shell:)
Then I ran CVSMake with the result:
nucmed31: CVSMake
WARNING: Using auxiliary files such as `acconfig.h', `config.h.bot'
WARNING: and `config.h.top', to define templates for `config.h.in'
WARNING: is deprecated and
Happy New Year!
Is the cvs down? I can't ping opendx.watson.ibm.com either.

someone wanting to use ImageMagick with DX have at least version 5.2?
I vote for that - is ImageMagick itself backwards compatible with itself?

The issue is that when configure generates help/Makefile from
help/Makefile.in, it is truncating the EXTRA_DIST= line to about 8k
characters (8202) which happens to be in the middle of a symbol.
Anybody else on UNIX see this problem?
Yes, it happens on Solaris as well. Both the help and html
In compiling the lastest CVS on Solaris 5.8 with gcc 2.95.2.1, I get:
Making all in uipp
make[2]: Entering directory `/usr8/dx/dx/src/uipp'
Making all in dxuilib
make[3]: Entering directory `/usr8/dx/dx/src/uipp/dxuilib'
c++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../../../include -I./../base
As a follow-up in my previous message, it seems that
SELECT_ARG_TYPE
which is set in some of the configuration files:
473find . -type f | xargs grep -i SELECT_ARG_TYPE
./acconfig.h:#undef SELECT_ARG_TYPE
./acinclude.m4:AC_DEFINE_UNQUOTED(SELECT_ARG_TYPE, $try)
./config.h.in:#undef
Many thanks.
Very gratefully,
Marilyn
David Thompson fixed this in the CVS. Please get the latest sources
from the CVS.

Does anyone know which version(s) of DX support the HP fx6 graphics card?
The card is in a HP9000/C3000, running HPUX 10.20. I'm currently
running DX 3.1.4a on a HP9000/C180 which has a V48 graphics card.
Please reply to me directly, as I am not a member of this group.
Thank you for any help.
