Hi-
I'm using dx for CFD visualizations and would like to be able to handle
double precision computations. The users' guide states that it handles
only single precision at present. Is there any way to get around this?
TIA,

. Is there any
constraint on the order in which I specify the vertices for each hex?
The user manual says something abouth parity but I'm not sure I
understand what it is referring to.

Just a quick question - does data explorer support the following element
types:
tetrahedra
pyramids
prisms
hexehdra
If yes - what do I specify as the element type for each of these
shapes in the connections object attribute?
TIA,

the rpm package for opendx-4.1.0-1. I have
found README files in /usr/local/dx/doc but have not been able to locate
any specific instructions dealing with setting links to libstdc. If
anyone could point towards where I can find this information, I would
appreciate it.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, when I tried to implement it here is what
happened:
/usr/local/dx/bin_linux

builder:
BUG IN DYNAMIC LINKER ld.so: dl-version.c: 210: _dl_check_map_versions
expect to hear a lot of complaints abouts OpenDX 4.1.0 breaking
with newer GCC RPMS.
The Image Magick you downloaded from www.imagemagick.org is 5.2??
and OpenDX 4.1.0 needs IM 5.1 RPMS. IM 5.2 and 5.1 are very different.

To all:
I got my dynamic linker
sure that I am running the latest versions of glib and
ld.so; i.e.
glibc-2.1.3-16
ld.so-1.9.5-13
However, I still have the problem. Any suggestions are greatly
appreciated.

Hi-
I am running opendx on Redhat Linux v6.1. I can get the code to execute
by typing dx at the prompt. However, I cannot display anything - even
sample files from the dxsamples tar ball. I keep getting an error
message: Unable to connect to dxexec. Can anyone help me out. I
