I updated to the December version (4.18) a while ago and didn't have any
issues. Maybe there was some new compiler setting that did something, so I
would look at the release notes.
I'm going to move to 4.19 soon.

compile (neither automatically, nor forcing a clean build) anything as
soon as the module projects are included, neither
