on gp2x, another arm was pressed into doing defacto 3d and it turned out great. i think the 3d accel unit on freerunner is borked by the memory/interface bottleneck, and it thus becomes impractical to use. Glamo doesn't have its own memory?

Agree Werner. updating ld.so.cache at package install time is better. And someone forgot to do it. if /etc/ld.so.cache doesn't need to be updated, ldconfig will ignore all checking by itself. The point is rootfs maintainer need to remember to do this job to avoid taking long time at boot time.
