As you have noticed I'm pushing a number of -Wshadow
warning fixes.
Most of these should be trivial, but there is of course a
chance that I screw this up as I have only done compile
tests for most.
This is a bit roughshod way of cleaning up the -Wshadow
fixes, but I've also fixed *real* bugs
