Oh man there are tons of good ones in CA. Diablo, Death Valley, Drytown,
Discovery, Darwin etc.

I grew up in CA. I think the reason some of those aren't on your list is due
to the technical description of it being a city. The places I mentioned have
road signs but Diablo for example only has around 1,000 people living in it
etc. Death Valley is a desert/national park.
