Also, check out ODTUG (Oracle Development Tools User Group) at odtug.com and their lists - hosted on fatcity.com as well. ODTUG-DES2K-L has been the best source of Designer discussion for years. Be aware that they (actually we, since I've been a member for 6 years) are "believers", so the

I have some experience with Ardent ETL tools, but not Informatica. The reason I even mention it is that they both have one thing in common, they are memory hungry. Put as much RAM as you possibly can in the box running Informatica. 6 Gigs would be a start. Jared On Fri, 23 Feb 2001, Seley,

Ben, This is no problem. They don't need to have different owners. If you are running Oracle Applications 10.7, and you want to use an Oracle 8i instance to house it, then you must do this type of install. You will have 2 Oracle homes, each with it's own database listener and all

Give up. CA seems to be the black hole of software products -- they buy good companies, fire all the good staff, and eventually de-support the products...all the while counting on the poor users who bought in before for the yearly revenues. I really miss ERwin. I don't miss working for CA.
