The article probably meant the extension of Oracle
Cluster Filesystem to these Operating systems. In 9i, RAC required some third
party clustering software for these - MC/ServiceGuard, SunCluster, etc.; whereas
the OCFS was available for linux and Windows

Years ago I worked on non-IBM equipment and was shocked at how primitive the
IBM MVS scripts were. I wondered why the developers weren't up in arms. Then
I realized that their expertise was what made them valuable and they
probably
OK everyone. Traffic cop time. Everyone that is a beta partner for 10i
MUST KEEP THEIR MOUTH SHUT. Don't get anyone in trouble, please. We as
partners pushed Oracle for these beta programs. Conversations like this
only hurt the process.
