I figure you have disks set out so
Drive 1 + Drive 2 = OS
Drive 2 + Drive 3 = Two tablespaces
Drive 4 + 5 + 6 = Oracle Default Tablespaces.
And you have bought 4 more disks.
I theorize, like test this to infinity and beyond, that changing this
to the following will improve IO performance.
At which point you will no doubt discover that your IO capacity was fine
and it was the damn data that was the issue.
That can be simply resolved by certain truncate commands. :)
