Hi Mick, Unfortunately, I have exactly the same problem here. Devices are missing especially after some error occurs on a bus. Somebody believe that it is owfs bug, but nobody knows how to fix it. I tried to place some decoupling capacitors to reduce errors without great luck. Now I just restart

Hello Patryk, thanks for responding! I don't know if safely but in my case it all works also without diodes all on 5V. I tested without those diodes on my two laptops and nothing was damaged :) It's also mentioned on i2c-tiny-usb page that You can omit the diodes and according to USB specs

Now I am using DS9490R, but it is very unreliable. I now I have 6 DS18B20, 2 D2406, DS2408 and 2 DS2438. The network is about 50m long (twisted pair, UTP-5). I can say, that DS9490R is totally not suitable for me. Devices appear and disappear randomly, same device appears multiple times, sometimes
