Gregg, I looked into the DS2436 in more detail, and conclude that the datasheet is ambiguous enough that I need a sample to test. I ordered a sample and will check perforance when it arrives.
The DS2436 doesn't seem to be supported by digitemp or the public domain kit, so there isn't any example code to test.
