Hello!
Essentially the thing works.
I stuck the basic DS2436 design on a perf board from RS that I
originally was going to use for something else. Then attached wire
wrap wire to its pins and to pins connected to screw terminals from
the same place.

Testing several times under the Windows EVK program confirmed that it
works. But Paul you wanted to know if it works under OWFS. It does. I
ran the owserver program with the owhttpd one setup to get its
information from the owserver one. It told me that the voltage the
battery pack was producing was 6.12 volts, not bad for something I've
had for over a year, and that it was an unpleasant for itself
temperature of 27.4375 degrees C.

It also showed me the data in the memory pages that I had been
annoying via the Windows EVK.

I should have a photo of everything and a better description posted to
my website at www.gregg.levine.name by the weekend at the very latest.

And you stated earlier Paul that you created the OWFS functions for
the DS2436 using the information from the datasheet? I'm impressed,
and also gratified. When you see this message later today be sure and
treat yourself to a good snack or meal someplace. It can be considered
to be on me.
