Actually though, page 7 of Google has shown me what to do, using PowerShell.
I'm sending this to the list for archive purposes, in case someone needs to do
the same thing somewhere down the line.

Hi all
Please, please, please tell me someone has an easy way to re-order the user

'up/down' arrow, scrolling back up from the bottom of the page, and click the
'up/down' arrow again. 59 properties left to re-order, and m

These behavioural inconsistencies are usually caused by the timing of when the

Hi Paul
Sorry, I didn't even think to mention that in the original mail - it's a MOSS

why. ViewFormpagesLockdown is disabled, anonymous access is set sitewide - and
yet anonymous users CANNOT directly access anything in
Hi Nigel,
Is this a 2007 or 2010 farm?

Hi,
Thanks for all the responses. Still working my way through them and need to
discuss with my colleague who I'm working with on this issue.
Strangest thing we've found now is that we actually have a sub site that
exhibits the behaviour we would like but need to get to the bottom of why
