I wanted to point out that SQL 2005 x32 = SQL 2005 x64 Upgrade is indeed
supported.
The move from 32-bit SQL Server to 64-bit SQL Server is seamless. Both
editions of SQL Server use the same on-disk structures; you simply need to
detach the databases for the 32-bit system, then attach
. Then just
reattach the migrated content DBs, run a full search and you're on your way.
