You will have to install the driver.
Software is even more inaccessible than SoundBlaster and responsiveness is
worse.
My suggestion is try something else.

This question may seem a bit confusing in how I am asking. Does the software

Hi,
I'm sher you'll get more specific replies, but I do know that in most such
programs there are options you can choose that do change burning
characteristics. This does presume what to me, at least, are pretty
advanced notions of when and why one would change from the defaults. The
defaults
Hello Folks:
On behalf of my clients, I am looking for someone who is very familiar with cd and dvd

I am using Total Recorder 45 professional with Windows XP and Jaws 51.
I am trying to record Jaws reading a WordPad document. I have sound board

Is there something I can change to bring
hi Jim, leave it well alone, it doesn't have a copy feature on it also, stick to roxio
or Nero.
there are some grate tutorials out there both for roxio which I use and I am totally
blind, and Nero which many people use without too many problems.
there are a lot more functionality with both

Hi,
I was also wondering if some one can say whether Win DVD 4 or 5 works
better with JAWS?

Hi,
I was talked into using a sound card chip mounted on the otherboard
instead of
a card like S B Live.
Well, in voice chatting, I seem to be unable to boost the microphone
sound adequately an I do have a
good microphone which worked fine on my old computer.
Are there some settings
Well if you go to volume control there is 1 button in
playback that says advanced, hit enter on that and
check the box that says microphone boost.
It's easy to find because it's the only button in the
tab, just tab around till you find it.

hi, also agree with simon. it's okay for a complete novice maybe, but even
then the price tag is a bit hefty. roxio and nero are perfectly accessible
these days and quite often come preinstalled on a pc or come with a new cd
drive/burner. and, can be bought for less than the Premier CD software.
hi, yes you'll have to install the drivers. the control panel thing you get
with it is far from accessible too. i've gone back to a sb live card for
music etc. the only reason the TB card is still in my system is for jaws
only. as jaws crackles with the sb live i have, even with the patch
Hi George,
What I do is hit alt-f and I do get a file menu. Then I press i
and am put in the compilation properties. I then use the mouse cursor to
read this screen. Where Nero doesn't give you the amount of time, it does
give you the amount of data, so you can judge from that info
Hello PTusing,
My new pc came also with the soundcard on the motherboard Windows XP;
while the Sound Max worked, I did not like it at all, mostly because of the
very low volume it gave for the microphone.
After trying various things, I bought a new Sound Blaster Live from Micro
Center for $30
I would be very interested in using Nero provided there are scripts enabling Jaws to
work with it. Are there scripts? If so, where can I find them?

Hi Frank.
If you're talking about Nero Burning ROM, you don't need any scripts at all.
From version 5.0 upwards, Nero has been completely accessible with JAWS out

I beg to differ on that one dude!

First of all, thank you.

I just wanted to make my message of earlier a bit clearer.

will help because the manual is bad. Look at the text document of the on line manual
