Jim! You can tell Sound Forge to make regions delimited by silence. I haven't done it in a very long time. Perhaps play with Tools, Auto Region. Jerry Chirp|Chirp|Chirp: It's the Bat, Chirping Bat .Com ! New DEC-TALK USB: $650.00, www.chirpingbat.com/dectalkusb.shtml !

SoundForge Question Revisited.

2006-05-10 Thread Jim Noseworthy
Hi Gang: I am trying to split a lartge file based on the silence between phrases. In this case, a two second gap would represent chapter breaks. In Goldwave, this is easily accomplished; however, I don't seem to be able to accomplish this by using the Auto Region creation in SF 8. Any ideas?

Hello, the best one for live legal music downloads is www.DimeADozen.org but it may be hard to get an account. It only can accept a certain number of accounts during a certain period of time. It took about three weeks of periodic checking until it would let me sign up for an account. Thanks a lot.

What kind of music is on there? I heard there is Etree.org, but you would be downloading forever on those files. They like to post the .shn files, which winamp would play, but they're lossless. I wonder what actual bit rate that format actually uses? I'd say about 300 kbps, maybe closer to 256

Cool! I think the deal with Etree is that I've never tried to tape a show in my life. I went to a George Thorogood concert once, but I am too afraid to try taping stuff for fear of getting caught. I thought Etree was torrent, but maybe not. - Original Message - From: Matthew Bullis
