Hello!
Is it a portable scanner or a tablescanner?
I saw a ar8000 a couple a yers ago but i really dont like the milions of
buttons on it.
To me it seems not blind friendly-).

Its a a table scanner. And it has a lot of buttons but that doesn't worry
me unduly. At least it still has a proper tuning wheel which you don't find
on any of these little portable thingies!

Here are some notes on how to set up media player 10 to rip CD's to your
hard drive. You can change your settings so that media player will
automatically rip the CD when you close the drawer and eject it when

If you prefer to use CDEX to rip your CD's, the following notes may be of

Using CDEX to rip CD tracks to your hard drive
1.. Place your CD into any of your CD-ROM drives. Hold down the shift key
when the CD drawer is being closed to prevent the CD starting to play.

All you need do is make absolutely certain you burn the disc as an audio CD
and not a data CD.

I use Easy CD-DA Extractor, and have never had any problem getting Winamp to
play the resulting files. What setting are you asking about, beyond bit rate
and sample rate?

I went and downloaded the lib faac encoder for CDex. I don't know how to get
ahold of the psytel or astrid/quartex aac encoders. I brought up the encoder
