Hello Garry,
In some places here in the USA, there isn't a Best Buy.
So your only choices are Wal-mart and RadioShack unless you want to get
someone to drive you out of your home town in order to buy a receiver that
has those kind of inputs.
But even at Best Buy, you're gonna pay about a grand
Hello Garry,
Those are pretty good too as well.
But if I were to get a DA converter, I would look for two things.
#1. Sense I will be using it with my computer, I would look for the DA
converter to have some kind of USB inter face.
#2. Just about all of my equipment has vacuum tubes in it.
So
Hello John,
Then the suggestion I made to you, is correct.
An FM radio transmitter that is hooked up to the line out jack of your sound
card, will serve you best.
Even with running long cables, you are looking at a grater resistance.
Which means, you will loose some of the audio signal before
I have.

Hi all,
Does this program just use Youtube or can it do other video sites? One
cool feature with Media Catcher is the ability to record from other
video sites.

Glad you found them to be helpful. I learned a lot from them. Not that
particular flavor, the classes I started out were from five or 6 years ago.
I skim through them when I can get updates to see if there are any new

Hello all list members,
I downloaded a peace of free ware software that's called, Final Video
Downloader.
But in the settings, the default output folder was:
c:\Documents and Settings\All Users Documents\My Videos.
I tried to set it up to put the files in:
C:\Documents and Settings\John
I've run WebbIE on my Windows XP Pro 32-bit version with no problems. The
web page says the installer works on XP, vista and 7. I'd suggest
redownloading to see if that takes care of the problem.

Plugging the mics into the tape deck allows me to control the mics as though
I were recording onto tape. It has individual left and right controls as
well as mic and line mixing--which I won't need. In any case, I control mic

Of course, when you use an FM transmitter, you don't get the full frequency
range. Doesn't matter to me because I'm old and my high frequencies are
fading. Also depends upon if it's a legal FM transmitter; the upper
frequency limit is 15 KHz. A good hi-fi stereo system will produce 20KHz.

I'm no expert, but presumablyXLR does support two channels, and if it does
then stereo mikes should work.

it depends whether you're talking about a 3 pin, 4 pin XLr connector. most
of these usb devices are for 3 pin balanced microphone cables with one of
the pins being hot for phantom power.

I'm not sure about the pin thing, but XLR does support stereo. The AT822
uses XLR. So dose the Rode NT-4.
