Hi Tom and list,
I'm sorry for the delay as I've got tons of correspondence to deal with and I
usually don't bother to often read through the pile of e-mails regarding

Hi guys, I'm wondering if it is possible for me to watch live Television on
my Acer Laptop?. Would it be better to get one of those tv tuner cards?, or
is there a software program to achieve this?.
I'm running win7, with jaws12.
I also have Sky tv in my home, but in another room.

Greetings,
Thanks, hope it can be made available through this list.
I would suggest we need reasonably high quality at least 128kbps .mp3

specific importance making the point of the sample, would be lost. I

Hi Colin and all.
According to the release notes, this is the last version to work under
Windows XP. GoldWave 5.70 or whatever they next call it will only work
under Windows Vista and Windows 7. I do not use Windows XP myself, so I
am going from the release notes somebody has posted a few days
If it doesn't have a toner, then maybe you should get one. That's how it
gets the signel.

Hi everyone. Since I last posted on this subject, I have uninstalled Winamp

Hello all.
Please can I ask, can someone explain what the differences are between
the speakers outlined in the subject line? Asking as I bought a new
radio today and the speakers are 2 times 2 watts RMS in terms of output.
There was also a radio with 2 times 1 watt RMS as its output. The radio
Well at a guess we're talking stereo? So therefore 2 times 2 watts means 2
watts per channel and given stereo then that's 2 watts times 2 channels giving
a total of 4 watts.
The big question here is how the measurement of 2 times 2 watts was made, given
the low figure I suggest that the
Yes they are stereo speakers hence two times. I have a speaker on either
side of the radio.

Right, well obviously then 2 times 2 watts is mor powerful than 2 times 1 watt.

Okay cool. Thanks. But yeah, I know you could do it before, it's just how
does one do it now? Well, let me and the list know how it goes then. This
will decide if it will be worth spending the extra money on a TV tooner or
not.

Hi Walter,
You need to install the SqrSoft Advanced Crossfading Output plugin. You can
get it from the Winamp site at

Once installed, you will need to open the Winamp preferences with ctrl+p, arrow

In my previous post, I said that I didn't have any experience setting up
Media Center in Windows 7; now I do. Sighted assistance would definitely be
preferred, but if none is available, I would suggest that the NVDA screen
reader would be the best choice for tackling the setup screens.
Hi Gary,
Thanks for the report on your Win7 experience. I'm going to install the
NVDA screen reader, as I have heard good things about it, and it does
seem to offer some things that the other guys don't, and the price is
right. What kind of tv tuner did you get? I'm debating whether to get

Very cool. It was like a whole new world for me, not just to record at will
but to look at what was on tv and decide if I'd like to see it. Maybe I'll
get away from this att stuff and get real cable again.
