Question about streaming via a LAN

Hi all, What I am wanting to do is to listen on my Book Port Plus to what I have playing in Winamp or other player on my desktop computer. I assume this will involve using some streaming software, but I don't want to stream via the Internet, just via my local area network which I can access

You can just use Stationplaylist Studio for that. The program consists of two packages. Stationplaylist studio is the play out system while Stationplaylist creator is the scheduling system. With just studio you can do play-out. I haven't messed with the beat mixing but I think it will do that.

Reaper will handle MP3 files without a problem. I'm not sure how you go about opening MP3 files in Reaper as I've not used the software for that sort of thing, my guess is that you import them into your project as required. Naturally you can save out as a MP3 if required though this isn't the
