And don't forget that if you buy one of these cartridges, you also have to
get the special cable so you can connect them to your USB port on your
computer when transferring books or MP3 files to your NLS player. I think
those cables are something like $3.75 or so.

Yes, but I bet you pay more.

The cartridges come from the American Printing House for the Blind and I
believe they're about $12.75. I recommend getting the cable meant to be
used for these cartridges from the same place because I think they're less
expensive there.
I also recommend that you go to http://bardtalk.com and
Go to HTTP://www.blindcooltech.com and find a recent podcast about the NLS
player by Bryan Smart. It's superb and will give you more information than
you ever wanted.

I haven't studied both products at this point but I think competition is
good and necessary. I will say that when the Plextalk Pocket first came
out, they should have waited till they had NOLS support at the very least.
The Bookport Plus sounds promising.

Yes, they do. You have to make sure they're updated to the latest
frirmware. Then, you have to get the serial number of your machine. After
you have that, go the the RFBD site, log in, go to the authorize daisy
player area and choose the NLS player and then follow the prompts, one of

Hi: Both units will play NLS books as well as audible.com books. You
can record both wav and MP3 files
the truth. I'll pay for the upgrade, but grudgingly, as they
originally promised that all upgrades would be free.

Greetings: I've been looking at Sam Party DJ which is from Spatial
Solutions for one of our clients. It says it can be used with Karaoke and I
wanted to know if anyone here has done this and if there are any tips I
should know about. By the way, the software is loaded with lots of shortcut
Tai: If you set a beginning marker at the beginning of your recording and
then set and end marker, pressing alt plus shift plus d is supposed to work.
I did this in a file just now and it told me the length of my selection.
Is this what you're after?

Hello: I know a blind guy who wants to be able to manage his own karaoke
software, but so far he has trouble accessing the software with JAWS. Is
anyone using accessible karaoke software or know of someone who is?
Thanks.
