the last time I tried WinAmp, the latest version had changes to the
media library and it was not accessible for listening to internet radio
etc. Can anyone tell me if this is still the case or if there is

Probably the best way to do it is to get a tape recorder and a line in
cable. He can run the tape recorder in to the line in on his sound card and
with some software like GoldWAVE or Sound Forge, he can record from the
cassette.
