Best way I can think of is buy one of those cables that have two RCA jacks
on one end and 1 at the other. Plug the end with 1 jack into a laptop, with
a thumb drive in it, and plug the other two into a stario or tv equipt with
2 stario jacks.

Well, I think said equipment is a very expensive alternitive, so I'd
recommend doing what you plan on doing- putting the songs on your computer

If I'm not mistaken- yet I could be, because I don't use audible- there are
different audible formats. If you want mp3, I believe its audible 4, but I
have no idea what these other formats are- have you checked in audible
managers menu's? How about the download manager just for giggles?
Well, it could be a burner issue, some burners don't like burning a cd with
no silence between them, god knows why. I have a 7 year old burner here that
does it just fine. I picked up a newer lg one and tried it, with no luck,

Well, just make sure you have a playlist such as m3u, or pls, as shoutcast
default is, I think. GS player can support both- and windows media player on
there isn't very good imho, anyway- and I'm guessing most people have GS
player. This also applies to the windows Mobile 6 platform as well.

I've got a cd walkman here from Panasonic which will play cds just fine; its
from 1992 or so, the same time as that cd player your talking about. When I
make cds, I use nero or, in some cases, easy cd creator. Not really sure
what bitrate would have to do with it; aren't cds always burned

I think I know how to do it, thought imho real player does much better at
this, as winamp only burns at some rediculously slow speed and, even if you
have a 52 x burner and pay for it, you can stil only burn at 40x! Anyway, I
think what you do is create a playlist, then open that playlist

I recommend winamp, for all filetypes. It plays a lot of them, and a
personal favorite format of mine is .ogg. You can get 64 kbps with no
problem, it sounds like nearly 96 kbps mp3 quality.

I don't see why, unless it keeps on compressing the current bitrate. BUt
that doesn't really make sense. I mean, it should stay the same quolity, but
just make sure you don't downgrade the current bitrate, or move it up,

doesn't run as long as the orriginal firmware, it speaks song names to you,

I think it'll work, to convert that there .CDA files of yours into mp3.
