as I recall, that program isn't that accessible. What I would do is to
put the file into goldwave, mark the section you want to cut out and
then do a save selection as. hth

Okay, what does it mean when I try to play the file in MP3DC I get
another error that says:
Decoder init error:
Coulde not load mpglib.dll.

The way I move to a spot in a large file is to:
press Ctrl + P
This brings up the edit box with the total time of the file and the
current position indicated by elapsed time.
You can edit the elapsed time data to the time you wish to jump to
then press Enter when your ready to execute it.

manually set a split point when using mp3 direct cut. I
have no problem with auto cue, but I wish to manually place
some split points.

I do not believe it can be done with the keyboard exclusively.
