Hello list: Well..feeling slightly stupid..but much relieved! The problem concerning my digital player and cord has nothing to do with the fact that I have the wrong cable; it's just in knowing how to hook things up..which..apparently..I didn't! But a friend got me on track (I was trying to put the drive into the player; then put the cord into the other end of that drive (duh..there is nothing at the other end; that's why it wouldn't go there!)..long story short: after what my friend told me last night, I decided to try it and..it worked! I even was lucky enough (after downloading the latest edition of "Sports Illustrated)..to transfer it to the player; imagine my joy when (after plugging the cable drive back into the machine; then I hit the "play" button..and it actually started playing..I heard "Sports Illustrated for March 29!"
