Sadly when i use bluetooth on my phone with skype things sounds not that good.
It sounds like telephone with a lot of crackles.
But maybe this is due to the fact that i use the logitech h800 which is not a
4.0 device.

Yes, I think FaceTime has improved in iOS 8, especially now we can
change how audio calls are routed. This is a setting in the
accessibility settings so check this out especially if you are hearing
immpaired like me.

setting found under accessibility as call audio routing? If so, I wish there
was a setting specific to just FaceTime. Unfortunately, the setting
mentioned above affects all incoming cellular calls as well which isn't
