Hi to the PC Audio list.
I have recently purchased what is refered to as a Sony Network Walkman style
MP3 player.
I have played around with the Sonic Stage software that is bundled with the
player, but have had no luck trying to figure out how to transfer files or
delete files from the player
Which version of Sonic Stage are you using? There is now a version 3.4.
In general, none of the versions seems easy to use.
I think another poster to this list, Michael Lang, has had some luck in
using Sonic Stage.
As an alternative, you can use Real Player+ to transfer tracks to a Sony
player
Hi, Clifford, thanks for the response.
I have sonic stage 3.2 now, and I wasn't sure whether programs like windows
media player or real player, which I have also tried to use before, would
support this device.
Using real player sounds real intriguing.
I will check this out.
I'll let you know if I

going to the Tools menu and following the promps in the Add Device item.
Remember that after running the Add Device, you need to shut down Real

Sorry for the gap in responses. This is my work email and I was gone

You can get the Real Player at:
www.real.com
either the free basic player or the one time cost premium player will
work.

Hi all!
Does anybody knows how to use this software? I bought my MP3 player and this
software is included on the package. Does the software works with JFW?

The Sonic Stage software is a definite problem. However, you can
accomplish much of what it does with Real 10.5 either the free or
premium versions. You will need to have a copy of Open MG Jukebox on
your computer to use the transfer capabilities of Real Player though. I
think a version
to convert the files into a ATTRAC files?

I asked a question about Sonic Stage about two months ago on a UK list but
had no response. I would be very interested to hear anything at all about
it as I haven't been able to use this software at all with Jaws.
For a large company like Sony it's poor stuff.

I recently became aware that Sony released in late April, version 3.1 of
this transfer software. Has it gotten any more accessible with screen
readers, specifically JAWS?
Thanks.

Hello,
a while back someone mentioned a version of sonic stage and I don't have

I was wondering if there any good or bad opinions about sonic stage version

Are there any special things to know?

Shannon, I once used Sonic Stage to burn an ATRAC CD. I was successful,
so it can be done with JAWS, but it wasn't too easy. I'd say, that
SonicStage 2.0 is useable, but ... I can't give you more details,
because I only worked with the program for half an hour or so.
