Installing the LAME Encoder

Hi List. I've been looking around the web for help on how to install the LAME Encoder, big mistake. My heads fare deived! IE I'm extremely confused! Can someone please tell me where I place the unzipped LAME encoder in a Windows 7 64 bit machine? Ideally, this will be somewhere that means

Tom, Neither Total Recorder nor GoldWave come with a codec to record mp3 files. I do not recall why this is. But the docs for each program tell you that you have to install an external codec in order to create mp3 files. In fact, they give you the url for the Lame encoder. Don Roberts

Hi Larry, Did you get the full lame release? I mean did you get the razorlame which I would call a front end for the lame encoder? Here you can make a number of adjustments to the encoder. However, I am not sure if those adjustments will be passed to gold wave when you use the encoder
