As I understand from the times I've used it, there are listings of various
Kay-Tel albums that various people have posted and there are links to the
albums for downloading them.
That's how I think it works.

If you go by the stuff Windows tells you in the property dialogues for your
inputs and outputs where you select the rates to be used when they run in
shaired mode what ever that is, it says 48000KHZ at 16 bit is DVD quality
96KHZ at 24 bit is studio quality.

Also, bit-rate is not the only parameter that can be varied. As I recall,
frequency response and sampling rate can be varied in some cases as well at the
same bit rate. I remember this making a big difference even with the same
encoder on a low bit-rate file I was trying to create.

Dave,
Both Audition and Sound Forge can change the phase of an audio chanel. I took
advantage of it in Audition and don't think that the title of the option was
obvious, though. As I recall, I had to select one channel for processing and
then select all in audition. I don't have access to

we can discuss it? I can't really find anything that is accessible, was
looking at something to transfer audio over skype but it wouldn't be
great quality. any help is appreciated.

Hi,
There are many ways to stream audio over the net.
First of all, you can setup a Shoutcast server and stream it using a
Shoutcast program.

If not you can tweet it to one another if you are using Twitter with the
Qwitter client.

as I recall, that program isn't that accessible. What I would do is to
put the file into goldwave, mark the section you want to cut out and
then do a save selection as. hth

You certainly can.
Use the B and N keys to select the beginning and end of the part you
want, then hit Control+E...I think. Anyhow, if I was wrong about the
actual keyboard shortcut, there is a Save Selection in the File menu,
and you can use this to save a part of a file to another file all of
actually, it is quite accessible, and you can edit MP3's without having
to uncompress and re-compress them. It can also record directly in to MP3.
Just look for the list of keyboard shortcuts in either the help menu or
in the manual, itself.
but, if you need to do any fancier editing, such as
Dave: For what use I've gotten out of MP3 Direct Cut, it is pretty
accessible; I must admit I haven't tried to use all facets of that program
(I've only used it to remove parts of an existing file) but am thinking it
may do something I want to do; just figured I'd ask and see if I'm right in
well cool. I love being wrong because that means I can learn from it.
That's good to hear it's accessible, maybe i'm confusing it with another
program, I have a lot of audio editors on this laptop for my job so they
all get blurred together in one shape shifting mass of sonics.

Ann and list: Thanks; will give it a try and let you all know how it works
out! MP3 Direct Cut does work well for removing parts of a file that you
don't want; I even thought maybe the control-E thing was the key stroke I
wanted, but thought I should write and see if I was correct! Thanks
Hi, Tom,
Yes you can easily do this.
Find the beginning point of the section you wish to save,
press the space bar to stop playback, press the letter B.
Then find the end point,
stop playback and press N.
At this point, you can fine tune the location of the beginning point
by pressing the
