High Dan, You are looking at two different things with improving the microphone pick up. The mike itself, has to be very sensitive. The other thing is, resetting the gain. If the gain is to low, the mike isn't going to pick up things that well. This is one of the things that I dislike about my

I was going to tell you the same thing, portable yesterday and today are two different things. I used to have some Bogan and Duquesne mixers that were the size of portable televisions, and they were mono. they were 90 watts. I don't think the young lady wants to tote anything like that.

that is a good clean power mixer. one of my favorite power amplifiers I had was made by Hauffman. it used match 12-AU-7. I could kick myself for getting rid of it. it had a couple of electrolytic caps go bad, but it was easy enough to take care of. that thing could kick but. - Original
