I've got a real problem here.

2009-10-18 Thread Jim Noseworthy
Hi Folks:

For some reason, all of my MP3 files are gone and I am left with some files
that are ending in .MP3.SfK extensions

Anyone know what happened?

I think Sound Forge uses that extension when it uses mp3 files.

Hi:

Yes, I thought about that but I haven't run SF in years. I think that it is
an ITunes issue.

Thanks.

Sorry if this is obvious but have you checked that you're viewing all files,
in your 'open' dialogue box?
Sure you have, but just a thought.

2009-10-18 Thread Jim Noseworthy

Thanks for your concern:

Actually, I think that what happened is that I inadvertently deleted all my
files when I emptied my iTunes library. The SFK files were probably left
over from other SoundForge projects that I was doing over the last few
years.

Lucky for me that I found most of my files on an SD card that I was using in
an MP3 player.

Again folks, thanks for your response.

Re: I've got a real problem here.

2009-10-18 Thread Ray
Well Jim, my only comment is I'm glad I've resisted ITunes thus far.

Not the place to say it I guess, but I've heard ITunes can be far too smart
for mine or anyone elses good. I had an issue with one of the more
pretentious Apple Mac Oh what a superior Guy I am sort, who laughed that my
efforts in Sound Forge didn't register the correct running time in ITunes. A
Mac expert told me this is an issue with ITunes more than because I happen to
be using Windows.

With DRM out of the way now I'm still stuck on seeing just what the point of
ITunes is these days,. Still, what would I know, not frequenting the ITunes
store. Surely to God no one's using it with their Stream! Or are they?
