RE: Is the NCH audio software accessible?
I have a question about Express Burn, which I use on a 64-bit Win7 machine. When I rip a CD, it does two things I don't like. First, it reorders the sequence of tracks so that they appear alphabetically, not the way they appear on the album. Second, each track name begins with the name of the CD so that I have to remove that part of the name manually. The one thing I like about Windows Media Player, which became too cumbersome for me, is that it ripped a CD with the album name as the main folder and each track inside that folder in album sequence. Peter, For me, the easiest way to add files in Burnaware is to use cut and paste. I hate drag and drop solutions. I should also mention that when setting up an audio CD in Burnaware, one can also easily rearrange the order of the files to be played without having to renumber them. I realize that these program choices are very subjective; however, it is my contention that the most accessible and feature rich program for burning CDs or DVDs is burnaware free. Hello, Yes, Express Burn is very accessible. If you use Jaws there's one point in the burning process where you have to select whether you are coing to burn file by file or load up all the files in a given folder. Here you have to use the Jaws Cursor to reach the selection, but that's about as hard as it gets. NCH Express Rip is also accessible and is my personal favourite CD ripping tool. So I'd say, get the trial version and give the NCH Express Burn a go. Well once you open the program and choose the type of cdrom you wish to create and press OK, then you will be presented with a screen with menu bar at top. press alt which will get you to file menu. (Alt-f will not work.) Arrow down this menu. You will find selections like select file(s), select folder which will overcome this useless drag and drop nuisance and take it from there.
