Can I make it work with Pd 0.40-1 or only with the extended builds?
Looking at the CVS home of mapping[1], it tells that there is no
externals in the lib, only abstractions as there is only .pd files in
there, no .c(pp) or the like. Attached
Control + click -- Show Package Contents shows the folders inside.
Or use the Terminal:
$ ls /Applications/Pd-0.39.2-extended-test6.app/
or whatever version you have installed.

acording to what you do you want to put a pdp image into another one?
in this case, use pdp_canvas..

Im not sure wether this problem might be indeed the DC offset, it seems that is
a particular problem with pd looping stuff around. This is because it's a quite
drastic click that I do not hear when I loop it on Sound Forge...

Hello
I'm trying to use pdp in os x 10.4.7 with pd-extended 0.39.2 (hc's version).
My goal is to create a simple video window using pdp_xv, but I'm met with
the error:

pdp_xv: cant open display :0
same with pdp_glx.
Here are more details about my situation:

So let me make sure I understand you... you're opening X11 first and then
launching Pd/pdp? X11 *does* need to be open for the window to be created.
I think you're supposed to use pdp_glx anyway last time I checked, but I am
definitely not the most knowledgable source :)
Good luck

What would be really sweet would be to mod that script to have a
search function that matches against a pd-vanilla object list, and if
the object is not included, find what library it needs, then add an
[import needed_object] to the required help file.
That would make it so that the -lib command

Hi Bryan, Thomas,
I think I have the same problem as you. My external crashes when I try
to delete the object from the canvas i.e when the destructor of my
external is called. The BT is
#0 0xb7db0334 in free () from /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6
#1 0xb72858b1 in operator delete (ptr=0x0)
maybe i'm completely missing the point here, but if you're looping a
sample from exactly start to finish, then just zoom in really close in
soundforge and cut the start point so that the sample starts at a zero
crossing, and then do the same with the end point.
where is eric skogen! are you still making music (with pd)?

well, i just checked the sample, and it didn't loop smoothly in any
software i have.
then i opened it in a sound editor, and the start point is zero, but
the end point is not zero, which would be why pd makes a drastic
click.
i will now bow out of this discussion, because i can't see why
oops, shouldn't be so rude...my mistake.
