Good to know, thanks Antoine.
What was it that you rolled back?
BTW - can't be the UDJ card as that has no input but I think you have a
different ESI card too.

So I guess to answer my own question:
How do you know if your usb soundcard requires mmap_emul?
If you have lots of crackles whereas before you didn't.
Perhaps this could at least be something to try.
Will keep the list updated as to my progress- not at the audio testing
stage yet.

Hi list,
I'm working on an installation that makes intensive use of evt, so first
big thanks to the developpers for this incredible tool !
Still, during the development I faced a really strange issue with
ev_pro_22easy modules : it kills my framerate.
The patch uses more than 20 ev_pro_22
Hello,
pitch doesn't come from voice at all in these kinds of sounds, but from a
keyboard, particulary in this Daft Punk or Laurie Anderson music, I believe
it's not possible to get accurate articulations by using voice's pitch, but I
guess you will figure it out soon enough ;)

Is there any reason why ev_pro_22easy is less efficient than

I think ev_pro__22 uses OpenGl shaders so it uses the GPU in the graphic
card. ev_pro_22easy uses the main CPU to made the work, so is less
efficient, but it

I've got 'usable' results from tracking voice with [sigmund~] and William
Brent's timbreID lib. It was fun to do it in reverse (and easy:)
Admittedly not 'accurate articulation' but it is 'in your hands'.

Ok, I'll check [sigmund~] and that lib!

Hi,
I understand the shader part of ev_pro_22 but I 'm not shure the problem is
here, the shader is only used to change texture coordinates and do
soft-edging. In both cases, ev_pro_22 or ev_pro_22easy, I send a texture
ID. So the chain with ev_pro_22 is not the one that does the work from

I found the same behavior, Marian and Peter wrote some amazing software there
but you have to have a really fast graphics card for some of the fancier
modules. Go with the one that delivers for you. 22 is really nice as I recall.

Yes it helps a lot.
There are colored lines appearing in background, setting the looped
gemframebuffer perspec fixes it, I will try now to found out how to turn
background's black pixels to transparent.

Hi list,
Another roadblock:
When I compile the externals in extra and try to create them I get an error
to the Pd console:
load_object: Symbol choice_setup not found
In the choice directory there is a choice.d_fat and a choice.pd_darwin.
nm choice/choice.d_fat shows a line with this:

sorry, I have several cards from ESI and messed them every times !
I was thinking about UGM96 which works great at 48kHz (btw I didn't try it
at 96kHz because I have enough troubles and headache with 48k)
But note, that I need to disable the ethernet to get input without crackles.

Some idea how to stop envgen?
I would like it to stop when I release a key before It reaches the end of the
duration. A kind of reset.
I would apreciate any clue... Thanks,

I tend to stick with 44.1 so it's good to know 48k could be trouble.
Hmmm, disabling ethernet isn't an option for ssh communication.
Perhaps the 'LEAVE_ME_ALONE' comment could be worth checking out?
Also, what did you roll back to get audio working again?
