[PD] Missing objects in Pd-Extended Intel OSX?

2013-04-22 Thread Martin Dupras
I'm running 0.43.3-extended on a MacBook Pro Retina (Intel Core i7), with OSX 10.8.3. I've only noticed in the last couple of days that some objects are not loading. For instance, if I bring up the netserver-help.pd help file, the netclient object loads, but netserver doesn't. I also notice that

Well, for what it's worth, I have emailed IBM very politely and humbly asking that they reconsider. The most likely thing is that they are simply unaware, and if they knew about the PD community and all the work that has been done over 13 years, they might very well reconsider. In my letter, I

Re: [PD] Making Musical Apps: a book about libpd

2012-03-08 Thread Martin Dupras
I think that's a bit uncalled for. It's not spam, the book is entirely relevant to the PD community since it centres on libpd, and the target audience for the book is very much similar to the subscriber base for this list. I don't see how that would be any different than advertising a concert for

I had a quick read of the paper just now. I might have missed the point altogether, but from what I understand, the results that he gets from the Euclidian algorithm are the same (if you accept a rotation pattern as being equivalent) as what you'd get from the simple rounding of fractions. In

Re: [PD] turning an osc on and off

2011-03-17 Thread Martin Dupras
The osc~ is on all the time; to turn it on and off you need to multiply the output by 1 (to let the signal through) or 0 (to make it silent.) One solution attached. - martin On 17 March 2011 11:15, Coralie Diatkine coraliediatk...@gmail.com wrote: Hello everyone I'm trying to do something

I can't believe I have not noticed before now, but windows cannot have the character '*' in a filename. That does explain among other things why I could not unzip some example files (e.g. Patrick Sanan's MiniMoog.) I also noticed that the pix_kaleidoscope example patch uses a v* object, which
