hi patrick I have a terratec phase X24 and the only problem I have is because of the firewire controller on my laptop (IBM X32) which seems to be crap (a Ricoh). So it is not the soundcard. I was told on the freebob list that I should buy a PCMCIA firewire card to solve this. I disabled cron
