With Ks and Ms you get nothing. No metering at all so you will have to use a hand-held meter or guess. some have suggested adjusting to ISO settings to use these lenses but I have no idea what they mean. On the pre-production models, with K and M lenses, you get metered wide-open

In your case, Bill, I would think about just buying a couple more CF cards instead. While they would not have the capacity of the hard drive they would be more reliable and give you redundant storage until you uploaded the images to the computer. Think about it a bit, if that drive goes belly up

This is due to the loose manufacturing tolerance of Pentax cameras lenses. My F*300/4.5 FA100/2.8 with Z-1p do the same thing too. The good news is, the displayed valued in the viewfinder is only a shown value, and does not affect the metering or exposure accuracy. Alan Chan

They cripple the features of the camera but the image quality is still there. According to the dpreview tests the sharpness and noise levels stack up perilessly well against a Nikon D100. The feature set of such a crippled camera is still enough for most uses. Not surprising the Rebel film cameras

RAW should give you the best possible image to work with. You can do white balance corrections and exposure corrections easily - depending a bit on the software of course - than you can on jpegs. Also one should check the write speed for the camera. I am most familiar with the Nikon D1X and
