Thanks Bruce and Joe. I found that the user guide says: Standard TTL flash is available when used with other Pentax TTL flash enabled camera bodies. I guess that means it can be used in manual, which I do most of the time anyway (with PZ-1 and MZ-S). TTL still works in manual with thes bodies.
