I haven't shot the K100D, but I have used the DL, DS, D and the Rebel. Ergonomically, the Pentax's are far better. More comfortable to shoot with, far better viewfinder, better control layout. And the Pentax 18-55 is a significantly better lens than the Canon 18-55, with better build,

Not noticeably, as far as the Rebel is concerned, at least compared to the *ist-D/Ds, the K100D is supposed to have improved autofocus. The Rebel is an 8mp camera, the K100D is 6mp but has in camera shake reduction, the same feature requires special, (expensive), lenses on the Canon. The

Pancho, I picked one up recently on eBay and I quite like it. Here's a sample low-res pic taken with this lens. INFO: MZ-S, 540FGZ flash (bounced 90 degrees with catchlight panel) not sure what focal length maybe 40-50mm, probably f5.6 or 8, Kodak HD400 consumer film.
