Sounds like my story of the Pileated Woodpecker, except my bird was real. I saw it just out of range of a good shot with my 600mm lens, so I moved a bit closer, the damned bird flew to the next tree. I picked up my tripod and moved closer, almost set up for the shot, bird flys to next tree.

I think the best things about blogs is the option to set feeds. By subscribing to the feeds, the articles just trickle in on py 'puter without having to actively check out the web page every day. - Which quickly becomes tiresome if the blogger posts infrequently, or even just somewhat irregularly.

I bought one while I was in Canada because I needed something longer than the 77 Ltd. For what it cost it's not too bad, but I tend to compare all zooms to the FA* 80-200, and in that light it's a piece of shit. :-) And even compared to the FA 28-105 Powerzoom it's not that impressive. Cheers, D
