Better positioned than the K200D, still has some distinct weaknesses
in the buffer. Pentax's inability to do post-processing chain
buffering is once again producing a camera with a shockingly small
buffer. That said, it's better than the Rebel XS and should be priced

competitor to A900, D700 or 5DmkII. As such, it is indeed an upgrade
from K10D but marketing-wise it does not move upwards on the class
ladder; it remains the mid-level camera for advanced photography
connoisseur such as yourself.
KAF3 is that pair of contacts for SDM, or K-mount with SDM, nothing less
and not a typo in Pentax KM (K2000 for US) spec.

K20D. What is desperately needed, is camera (way) above K20D. For now,
Pentax is lagging behind Sony, Nikon, and Canon in this respect.

Well let's see. The M8 costs about $5.5K for a camera with roughly the
same image capture specifications of an *ist-D, and the same resolution
and sensor size of a Canon 1D Mark III. which you can get for around
$3K. Based on this I'd put the Leica S2's street price at something
like 2-3x
