I really like the patterns of the curves and straight lines, the
monochrome feeling, and the textures. The flags (?) are a bit
discordant and distract from the overall effect in my view, but there
was nothing you could have done about that.

I've decided to go with a Sekonic L398, which is similar to
the Weston, but is still being manufactured. There are used
L398M's for sale on eBay, but given the fundamentality of
exposure, and how much a meter like this could teach me, I
may just bite the bullet and go for a new L398A.
