Sorry I've been out of the loop of late. Life is still a bit on the
crazy side for me, and my PDML messages have stacked up in the 1000's
between peeks. So, if this question is completely stupid,

Geez, Don. I did like the other one a bit more but now you have me worried.
Maybe I submitted the wrong one?
:-)
Thanks for the kind words and thanks to those others who looked and commented.

Looks like a great solution and the image is sharp with great detail. It
does look a little dark on my screen but I pulled it into Photoshop and
adjusted the shadows (shadows / highlights tool) and all that detail
inside pops out nicely.
Good solution!

Mark,
I can't do a K-5 photo at full resolution 100% JPEG quality and fit the maximum

That means I need to either make it smaller in pixels, or compress it more in

I could do full resolution at about 80% quality or about 3200x2800 at 100%
What Mark said. Excellent image, but the shadows are too dense as presented. A
levels adjustment or a shadow/highlight tool correction, as Mark suggested, is
your best bet here. I think more exposure would make that white light up too
much.
