The resolution advantage is there in plain view. Focus on any fine text. Eg: examine the red square area below the globe, with the poem. Try it at ISO 100 first then switch back to 6400. The K-5IIs degrades the least of al the samples. I added the Canon 5DMkII in to the samples and was interested

I was out in the front yard today, and looked at the cedar logs. The deep red seen in this image has faded quite noticeably, as the log dries out. It is still readily identifiable as red cedar, but the intensity that made it so interesting to me just a few days ago has disappeared. Dan Matyola

I've solved the spectacle wearer's viewfinder use by knocking the lens out of a pair of glasses. Allows me to get my eyeball close enough to see the entire frame. The built in diopter on the K series DSLRs takes care of what I need glasses for. The lens still attached is used for chimping.
