I encountered that LR-5 (5.7.1) cannot work with Pentax k5-iiS video
files. It doesn't show the thumbnail in the import dialog, and also says
that it cannot import the video files, complaining about the audio bit-rate.
I had no problem with the video files from the same camera in LR-3.*.

Ok I imported a video just fine with LR5 and my K-5 IIs. Sounds like
you are missing the codec lightroom needs. Are you on OS X? If so I
probably wouldn't be much help, but lightroom is dependent upon
whatever codecs you have installed on your machine for video. IIRC, it
