computer shop with a service department that can test it for you.

istD-K10-K-7-K-5 a lot (1/8 of my 41K exposures in Lightroom), and it's very
sharp with excellent contrast and pleasing bokeh.

logs but the only entries that repeat over and over are ones that
indicate a normal state. The whole "Application and Services Logs"
section is blank - nothing in there, including the Hardware section

Thanks Darren - I had my hopes up since the battery going flat while the
PC was unplugged could explain why it started malfunctioning after not
being used for several days. But after swapping out the batter the
