I have the 1st generation Sigma 70-200 f2.8. IMO its excellent on a cropped sensor. It if very good on a full frame camera but does show slight softness around the edges. Here is a link to a full sized sample image taken on the K1, so you can judge for yourself:

welL Eric I think you should crop - down from the top, not from the side... The photo overall will be better balanced without as much sky as you have in it.. easier, too... I use Elements, not lightroom, I'm sure you could clone but cropping jsut below the offending branch should work... I'll do

as Mark said in one of his posts, there probably isn't a PDF to download of the book -- there certainly isn't a legitimate one anywhere.  The book was published in 1992 and never put into electronic form... If someone has a PDF they would have had to scan each page...  selections from the book
